Donate or drop off documents

As an institution of preservation, the IRFA can take care of all the documents and objects linked to the history of religious and cultural exchanges between France and Asia that individuals or private institutions would like to entrust them with.

These transfers can either be donations (implying a transfer of property), temporary deposits, or loans for reproductions. They are systematically regulated by a bipartite contract which defines the terms and conditions of the preservation and use of the documents or objects handed over.

The IRFA ensures good preservation conditions of the items it has been entrusted with, safeguarding them for future generations and making them as widely available as possible.

Additionally, the IRFA direction is always available for those seeking advice on how to preserve their archives (families of missionaries, collectors, French or Asian religious institutions).
