Overview of the Chinese Book collection

The Chinese book collection locates at the IRF Library is currently being processed, 35 books in chinese already appear on our catalogue .

The collection compiles the personal collection from the MEP missionary staff and many donations, comprising a wast corpus of books in mandarin on the subject of Chistianity in China from the 16th to the 21st century.

There are also some french, english, german, italian and spanish publications in this collection,  specifically personnal testimonies and christian stories (layman or clergy) concerning politics regarding religious rights during the revolutionary periode and the Mao regim.

Recently, the Relais France-Chine directed by father Jean Charbonnier since 1996, bequeathed to the IRFA Library its vaste and precious document collection on the spiritual and cultural developments in China.
